Privacy Notice

1. Who we are and our role

Truepick is an AI recruitment platform operated by Taqat. When an employer uses Truepick to run its hiring, the employer is the controller of candidate data and Taqat processes that data on the employer's behalf. For our own website, marketing, and account data, Taqat acts as the controller.

2. Data we collect

• Recruiter and account data: name, work email, company details, and usage logs.
• Candidate data: CV and profile information, contact details, application answers, assessment responses, AI interview recordings and transcripts, and the scores and evaluations generated from them.
• Technical data: device and browser information, IP address, and cookies needed to run the service.

3. How we use data

• To run the recruitment pipeline: screening CVs, conducting AI interviews, scoring candidates, scheduling, and managing offers.
• To communicate with recruiters and candidates about applications and the service.
• To secure, maintain, and improve the platform.
• To comply with legal obligations.
• We do not sell personal data, and we do not use candidate data for advertising.

4. AI processing and automated decision-making

Truepick's AI evaluates candidates against the role's criteria using the same questions and the same standards for everyone. AI outputs — scores, transcripts, and recommendations — support human decisions; final hiring decisions are made by the employer's team.

Candidates can raise concerns about an outcome or request human review by contacting the employer they applied to; we support employers in handling those requests.

5. Legal bases

Where a law such as the GDPR or a similar data-protection regime applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (running and securing the platform), consent (for example, AI interview recordings where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

6. How we share data

• With the employer whose role you applied to — they control your application data.
• With service providers that help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery, video infrastructure, and AI model providers), bound by data-protection terms.
• Where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request.
• As part of a merger or acquisition, subject to this notice continuing to apply.
• We never sell personal data.

7. International transfers

Where data crosses borders — for example between GCC countries and hosting or AI providers — we use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the jurisdictions involved.

8. Retention

Account data is kept for the life of the account. Candidate data is retained according to the employer's retention settings and applicable law, and is deleted on verified deletion requests or when the employer's contract ends and the export window closes.

9. Security

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
• Role-based access controls and workspace isolation between employers.
• Monitoring, logging, and regular review of access to production systems.

10. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example under the GDPR, CCPA, or GCC data-protection laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

Candidates should contact the employer they applied to first, as the controller of their application; we assist employers in fulfilling these requests. You can also reach us at legal@taqat.com.

11. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the service and preference cookies to remember choices such as your language. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.

12. Children

Truepick is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16, or the higher age local law sets for consent to data processing.

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the service and the law evolve. The version and last-updated date at the top of this page reflect the current text; material changes will be announced in the platform.
